What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adult Probation Officer position at Columbia County?
- Supervises a caseload of offenders as assigned by the Chief and in conjunction and accordance with the policies and procedures of the CCAPD and the Court.
- Performs intake interviews of offenders and prepares packets for offenders completing documentation to be relayed to offenders placed in a program.
- Monitors activities of the offender by covering evening and weekend visits to the offenders' residences and places of employment/service collecting urine samples and performing breath tests. Performs curfew checks to ensure compliance.
- Monitors offender balance of court costs, fines, restitution, supervision fees, drug and alcohol fees, Community Service fee, etc.
- Detects and investigates violations to parole or probation and implements the alternatives and sanctions.
- Conducts pre-parole investigations and pre-sentencing investigations as required to assess risk and potential compliance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.08 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
