Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Dental Front Desk Coordinator to manage patient check-ins, scheduling, payment collection/ billing, and insurance verification. The ideal candidate will handle patient inquiries, billing tasks, and insurance claims follow-ups while maintaining a welcoming environment. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus. Strong communication and organizational skills are required. We will train you to use our practice management software.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients, ensuring all necessary forms are completed
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments efficiently
- Verify dental insurance coverage and benefits for all new and existing patients
- Submit and follow up on dental insurance claims to ensure timely payments
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve any claim issues or discrepancies
- Maintain accurate patient records and update insurance information as needed
- Collect patient payments, process billing inquiries, and assist with payment plans
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries professionally and promptly
- Assist patients with any questions regarding billing, insurance, or treatment
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow and care
- Ensure compliance with all office policies, regulations, and privacy standards (HIPAA)
Skills
- Excellent phone etiquette.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse clients.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with scheduling patient appointments.
- Ability to learn new practice management software (we will train you).
- Previous experience in front desk roles is helpful.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 per week
