Columbia Energy and Environmental Services is an established small business headquartered in Richland, WA. We offer full-service engineering, design, fabrication, instrumentation and controls, testing, and technology development. We are currently seeking a Senior Level Electrical / I&C Engineer with at least ten (10) years of experience to join our team in Idaho Falls, ID. This is an excellent opportunity for engineers looking to advance their career and take on roles as a design engineer, project engineer, and technical lead on design / build / test projects.
Job Responsibilities / Duties :
- Ensure safety in office and shop environments, maintaining a safety focus in all aspects of assigned roles.
- Identify, design, evaluate, and test solutions for projects involving nuclear and hazardous waste remediation, chemical processing, and commercial development.
- Develop P&IDs and handle all aspects of Instrumentation and Controls, including control system design, control panel design, and testing.
- Conduct design and analysis in accordance with established codes and standards (e.g., NEC, UL-508A).
- Specify and integrate hardware and software components.
- Program PLCs.
- Provide support to multiple simultaneous projects and project teams based in WA, ID, and other locations.
- Collaborate with designers to produce detailed design drawings.
- Generate test plans / procedures and support system testing.
- Maintain configuration and control of baseline drawings and documents.
- Communicate task status, progress, technical issues, and meet project deadlines.
- Review project design inputs, outputs, and deliverables to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, requirements, and contracts.

Working Conditions :
This position is primarily based in an office environment with occasional work in the companys Fabrication Shop and off-site locations. Occasional travel, including travel to our WA facility, may be required.
