Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and heavy equipment to facilitate the movement of goods within our distribution center. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively with warehouse supervisors and team members.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and pallet jacks, to move materials and products throughout the warehouse.
- Perform order picking tasks using RF scanners to accurately fulfill customer orders.
- Assist in building pallets and preparing shipments for distribution.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere to all safety protocols while operating heavy equipment in a busy warehouse environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse or distribution center.
- Certification for operating forklifts and heavy equipment is preferred.
- Familiarity with order picking processes and the use of RF scanners is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of safety practices related to heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Previous experience working under a Warehouse Supervisor is a plus but not required.

Pay: $17.53 - $18.10 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
