Job Overview
Sort cans and bottles and load them into the main trailer. These cans and bottles help support the shelter by providing operating funds. Coordinate the can/bottle (main) trailer for pickup and replacement. Maintain small can/bottle trailers and transport them when needed. Also perform light, unskilled maintenance.
Duties
- High School Education or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle ,or reliable transportation
- Needs to be able to operate a forklift
- This job requires a clean background check
- Follow written and oral instructions
- Maintain cooperative working relationships
Essential Functions
- Sort donated cans and bottles so that they can be returned for refund
- May maintain assigned areas of buildings and facilities in a clean, orderly and safe condition
- Takes care of equipment and materials used in work assignments
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Normal manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination
- Corrected hearing and vision to normal range
- Verbal Communication
General Working Conditions
- Exposure to varying temperatures
- May require frequent bending, kneeling and lifting
- Indoor and outdoor work environments
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
