The Opportunity
Columbia-Greene Community College, a small, rural community college dedicated to excellence in education and workforce development, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Automotive Technology. This role offers a unique opportunity to educate and inspire students pursuing careers in the automotive field. The successful candidate will teach a variety of courses in automotive technology, with a regular teaching schedule in the afternoon and evening.
The Automotive Technology program at Columbia-Greene Community College is committed to providing students with hands-on training and theoretical knowledge to prepare them for successful careers in the rapidly evolving automotive industry. This position is ideal for a dynamic, student-centered educator passionate about fostering the next generation of automotive professionals. Position starts Fall 2025.
Minimum Qualifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Technology or a closely related field.
- Current ASE Master Technician certification, including tests A1-A8, G1, and L1.
- Commitment to teaching excellence and student success.
- Five years shop experience.

Salary and Benefit Information
Contractual starting salary $51K and rank will be commensurate with education and work experience. Special Announcement : The college offers day, evening, and online classes. This position includes a regular teaching load scheduled for afternoons and evenings. The selected candidate must be available to teach during these hours. The selected candidate may also be required to teach online.
