The Quality Receiving Technician is responsible for receiving and processing purchased articles, items and services and directing them to the appropriate location. When received items do not meet requirements, the Quality Receiving Technician segregates the items and coordinates with stakeholders to correct documentation or other deficiencies to complete the receiving process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Delivery Acceptance of shipments or items delivered to the company
• Coordinates movement of items received to appropriate locations.
• Ensures items received meet the requirements of purchase orders.
• Verifies documentation of incoming items
• Segregates non-conforming items identified during the receiving process and works with other departments in the disposition of these items.
• Records on applicable documents when a receiving inspection is complete.
• Notifies applicable shops or departments when items are received.
• Handles hazardous materials following all safety guidelines and procedures.
• Performance of FAA safety sensitive inspection functions may be required.
• Demonstrate ownership and accountability for his/her business processes, addressing both technical as well as business obstacles to achieve his/her business objectives. Coordinates with management or stakeholders for guidance and direction to overcome obstacles and/or update procedures.
• May be called upon to provide business, process, and technical guidance to less experienced members of the team.
• Identifies and implements Lean concepts to eliminate waste from processes.
• Acts as the point of contact along with the MRO/QC manager for urgent, unusual, or AOG situations requiring special handling.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to understand and follow Columbia Helicopters’ receiving procedures
• Ability to successfully complete Columbia Helicopters’ training requirements prior to stamp issuance
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs; RAMCO experience required
• Familiar with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations preferred
• Familiar with handling of hazardous materials
• Good written and verbal communication skills to present ideas, concepts, and proposals with a wide range of internal and external audiences.
• Ability to maintain a good working relationship with all team members, stakeholders, and customers.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Ability to locate, read, and follow technical data
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Able to multi-task
• Ability to work in a team oriented environment or independently with minimal supervision
• Willing to learn how to operate a forklift and be available as needed
