What you’ll do:

The Brass Tacks

• Coaches banquet staff including training, motivating and evaluating
• Assists in scheduling staff based on event needs and labor budgets
• Oversees event set up including table arrangements, décor and service stations
• Handles post event breakdown. Ensuring a clean and organized banquet area
• Attends weekly EO meetings for upcoming events
• Ensures all banquet equipment is kept clean and organized and ready for use
• Bartending experience
• Fills in post event reports and sends to all F & B staff after each event
• Maintains standards for food and beverage quality, presentation, handling, sanitation and safety
• Follows all appropriate policies and procedures
• Serves food and beverage to guests and provides quality customer service
• Advises guests, clients and team members on matters relating to food and beverage offerings
• Communicates directly with the Culinary and Stewarding teams during service to ensure proper client and guest service is being achieved
• Coordinates the timing of each course to correspond with the dining pace of the guests
• Assists in the acquisition of special equipment needed for banquet functions
• Conducts a briefing or “line-up” with team members at the beginning of each shift in order to keep staff informed of updates, changes and/or problematic situations
• Represents the club as the point of contact during events, acts as a liaison between guests and team members, responds and works to resolve guest issues and concerns as necessary.
  
  

The Nitty Gritty

• At least two years of experience in a high volume, quality banquet service operation; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• Previous food & beverage supervisory experience
• Basic computer literacy in the Point of Sale system and the sales and catering computer application
• Current State Food Handling and Liquor Serving License(s)
