What you’ll do:

The Brass Tacks

Operations Management:

  • Oversee daily operations of the restaurant and event spaces, ensuring seamless service and exceptional quality.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships to optimize costs and maintain quality.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures to enhance efficiency and consistency.
  • Prepare weekly schedules taking into consideration fluctuations in business to control labor costs.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and train front-of-house staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard new team members.
  • Empower, train and reinforce proper service etiquette.

Guest Experience & Event Management:

  • Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction by proactively addressing concerns and exceeding expectations.
  • Oversee event planning and execution, collaborating with the culinary team to create memorable experiences.
  • Manage guest feedback and online reviews, implementing strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Follow up on reviews and guest experience.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining marketing strategies that targets our clientele and draws new customers to the restaurant.

Financial Management:

  • Prepare and manage the front-of-house budget, controlling expenses and maximizing revenue.
  • Submit payroll accurately and on time.
  • Work with F&B leaders and Executive Chef to manage menus, inventory, and ordering.

Beverage Program:

  • Meet with distributors and wine makers and attend off site tastings to continue wine education.

The Nitty Gritty

  • Minimum of 3 years of food and beverage leadership experience.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong understanding of food and beverage operations, including inventory management and cost control.
  • Wine Service certification preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • The ability to read, write and speak English fluently is required to read, analyze, and interpret regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from group of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Computer knowledge including Word, Excel, Outlook, Basic knowledge of POS is preferable.
  • Must be flexible and able to perform multiple tasks and work in stressful situations
  • Strong general management skills, including time management, information analysis, planning and organizing, decision making, problem solving, and delivery of results.
  • Strong financial management skills, including budget management, expense control, forecasting and analysis of financial statements.
  • Strong people management skills, including communication, coaching, motivating, delegating, scheduling and relationship-building.
