Join our team as a Data & Analytics Product Owner. In this position you will be responsible for bridging the gap between business subject matter experts (SMEs), IT enterprise architect, and technology SMEs. This role ensures a consistent, prioritized, and strategic framework and approach to data and analytics initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate will own the data and analytics backlog grooming and prioritization, facilitate the gathering of business requirements, coordinate user acceptance testing, create and train on dashboards/reports, monitor progress of data and analytics initiatives, and propose strategic adjustments. Ideal candidate would be in Columbia, Missouri or one of our reginal offices.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Liaison Between Business and IT enterprise architect and technology SMEs: Ensure a consistent, prioritized, and strategic framework and approach.
- Backlog Grooming and Prioritization: Own the data and analytics backlog grooming and prioritization process in collaboration with business and IT SMEs.
- Requirements Gathering: Facilitate the gathering of business requirements with business leads and communication of requirements to IT.
- User Acceptance Testing: Coordinate user acceptance testing with relevant business leads.
- Dashboard/Report Creation and Training: Create dashboards/reports and train business users on self-service capabilities.
- Progress Monitoring: Monitor data and analytics initiatives progress against targets, propose strategy adjustments, and assist in resource/tool identification.
- System Release Review: Review Guidewire and ancillary systems release notes in conjunction with IT to identify data impacts.
- Data Governance Facilitation: Facilitate business ownership of data governance, ensuring consistency across business units.
- Advanced Analytics and AI Business Product Ownership: Serve as the enterprise advanced analytics and artificial intelligence business product owner in collaboration with IT enterprise architect.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a data and analytics role, with at least 2 years in a product owner or similar capacity.
- Strong understanding of data governance, data management, and business intelligence tools.
- Experience with dashboard and report creation, as well as training users on self-service capabilities.
- Proven ability to facilitate cross-functional collaboration and drive strategic initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Familiarity with advanced analytics and artificial intelligence concepts and tools.
- Travel required up to 25%
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Guidewire and ancillary systems.
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar certification.
- Experience in the insurance or financial services industry.
