We’re looking for a Loss Control Representative to perform loss control services to achieve improved loss experience. This position serves and/or oversees the entire regional territory. The ideal candidate will be located in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Perform physical inspections of insured or potential insured premises as requested by the underwriting staff. Analyze exposures to loss and recommend measures to reduce or mitigate exposures. Make recommendations to the insured/underwriter based on the physical inspection.
- Assist in the selection of outside loss control vendors. Coordinate with vendors on loss control materials, services and expectations. Evaluate vendor reports for quality and timeliness. Assist in the interpretation of vendor recommendations to both insureds and underwriters.
- Conduct training of insureds’ employees to reduce and eliminate exposures to loss; including but not limited to written safety programs and loss control materials.
- Work effectively with the commercial underwriting staff to assure a unified position is presented to policyholders as well as to our agency distribution partners.
- Conduct training of company underwriting and claims staffs to enhance their knowledge of exposures to loss.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION
- Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organization and customer service skills
- Ability to travel overnight up to 60% of the time as needed
- 3 years insurance industry experience in the area of loss control/safety or related experience
- Qualify as designated Field Safety Representative in accordance with the Texas Administrative Code
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
PREFFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Supplemental insurance education / designations
- Proficient in Word and Excel software
- CSP
- PE
- OSHA 10HR
- Familiarity with FMCSR
- Familiarity with NFPA
