Job Duties:
- Prepare quality submissions to carriers on behalf of client or prospect
- Communicate with clients, agents, and underwriters for all aspects of the policy processing.
- Review and analyze quotations received from carriers
- Prepare professional and accurate proposals for presentation to our clients
- Review policies and endorsements for accuracy
- Process premium audits and assist clients in the event of a dispute
- Assist in remarketing efforts as instructed by Commercial Manager
- Process renewals for assigned accounts, which includes an account review, looking to remarket if necessary, and cross sell for additional lines of business.
- Prepare certificates of insurance.
- Perform contract review with respect to insurance requirements
- Prepare and deliver timely binders and invoices upon binding of coverage. Secure premium financing when needed.
- Collaborate in a professional manner with all clients, carriers, producers and peers.
- Maintain and prioritize workload
- Lead monthly renewal meetings with producers and Commercial Department Manager
- Maintain current knowledge of underwriting requirements and authority outlined by each carrier.
- Identify and convert on account rounding and cross-sell opportunities
Qualifications:
- Property & Casualty License
- 5-10 years of insurance industry experience related to servicing commercial accounts
- Knowledge of Insurance and/or Brokerage business
- Technical knowledge of product area or industry
- Ability to provide consultation and expert advice to management on risk management issues
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Willingness to lead, coach, and develop other account managers
- Must be a detail oriented person that will communicate daily with clients, agents and underwriters
- Client Management/Applied (Epic) experience a plus but not required
- Solid communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong time management and Multi-tasking ability
- Must be able to function in high pressured, fast paced environment
Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience and may include a negotiated mix of salary, commission, and/or bonus.
