Summary:

The role requires a diverse set of maintenance skills, including the ability to cross-reference lubrication for machine tools and follow safety guidelines for forklift and manlift operation. Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and drills are essential. Responsibilities include performing and documenting scheduled preventative maintenance, painting and drywall repairs, and conducting general facility repairs. The technician must change lamps and ballasts, safely work with electricity, and manage mechanical tasks such as changing fluids, spark plugs, belts, and hoses. Additionally, they should be skilled in plumbing repairs, operating compressors and dryers, troubleshooting and repairing pumps and valves, using proper lifting techniques, and welding equipment. Adjusting machine levels and parameters based on tests is also required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge and ability to cross reference lubrication for machine tools
  • Pass forklift training and follow all guidelines
  • Pass manlift training and follow all guidelines
  • Proper use of wrenches, screwdrivers, tape measure, drill, saws, etc.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on time and according to schedule. Document deficiencies, services complete/incomplete
  • Ability to proficiently paint offices, doors, window trim, etc.
  • Knowledge and proficiency with drywall repair
  • Perform facility maintenance repairs as needed
  • Change lamps and ballasts, identify voltages present and how to safely work around electricity
  • Change oil and check all fluid levels, change spark plugs, change belts, and hoses on forklifts and manlifts.
  • Repair plumbing, unclog toilets and sinks
  • Replace belts on rooftop fans, blowers
  • Operate air compressors and dryers
  • Troubleshoot and repair pumps, pressure reducing valves, valves, filtration
  • Troubleshoot and repair flow and pressure valves, cylinders, check valves
  • Use proper lifting techniques to prevent incidents and prevent equipment damage
  • Weld similar materials for equipment repair
  • Adjust machines level or parameters based on ball bar test or alignment tests
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 - 4 years maintenance experience or related field preferred

  • This position will require approximately six months of training on our day shift. After completing the training, you will be assigned to an afternoon-evening shift. Are you available to work these hours?
  • Are you available between the hours of 3:30 Pm to 12:00 Am Monday thru Friday?

Experience:

  • Electrical experience: 2 years (Required)
  • Equipment repair: 2 years (Required)
  • Mechanical knowledge: 2 years (Required)
  • Industrial equipment: 2 years (Required)
  • Hydraulics: 2 years (Preferred)
