MRO Mill Operator

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced Mill Operator who can run a variety of manual and CNC machines and help to enhance the productivity of our turbine engine overhaul business.

LOCATION : Columbia, CT

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following :

Perform proper set-up and calibration procedures for all equipment and accessories to be used on projects.
Ensure that every machine procedure is done in accordance with the strict guidelines of the company.
Follow all company safety protocol.
Maintain tooling in good working order and perform required tooling maintenance.
Perform preventative maintenance on machinery per procedures.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS : The qualified candidate must :

Understand the basics of shop tools and techniques including working with gauges, calipers and other inspection equipment.

Be able to read blueprints and have good basic math skills,

Have an understanding of the basics of Aerospace Overhaul (preferred not required)

Be articulate and punctual.

Motivated and willing to learn

Have good communication skills

Pass FAA mandated drug screening and adhere to the Company's quality and safety standards.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma / GED required. (Associate degree preferred). A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience using manual or CNC milling machinery.
