Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma (or equivalent) associate degree preferred, not
required.
Experience: Minimum six months experience in Patient Access.
License/Certifications: HBI Certificate
Summary: Patient Access scheduling, schedules appointment for ancillary
services for patients and
providers. The scheduler is the customer service oriented collection of
personal,
professional, clinical and financial data, under stressful conditions. It
requires a
compassionate balance to enhance the integrity of collected information and to
appropriately distribute information to required entities. It requires
conscientious,
detailed individuals who can move through duties rapidly and equally detailed.
It is
necessary to be equally confident in registration entities. It is necessary to
stay abreast of
new developments in an ever changing environment to meet State, and
institutional
standards. Patient Access Schedulers must display professionalism and exhibit
utmost
confidence in order for patients/public to be confident in our quality of care.
Individuals
must be sensitive in the collection and distribution of diagnostic and personal
information. This position requires the ability to work well with physicians,
staff and
public (including, but not limited to, Nursing Homes, Payers and Primary Care
sites).
Salary Range: $18.00 - $28.00
