What are the responsibilities and job description for the Portfolio Admin Analyst position at Columbia Mgmt Invst Adv LLC?
You will report daily and monthly results to team on a timely basis, provide coaching, training and support to accountants on a large range of complex accounting topics.
You will also be required to perform daily, and periodic processes designed to pro-actively identify issues, understand the impact of the issue, determine root cause and timely execution of solutions.
How you'll spend your time...
- Perform daily control and quality control report reviews, analysis and resolution activities. Process daily cash, position or other control responsibilities as notified by stakeholders. Process all activities and transactions in accordance with established procedures and policies, meeting or exceeding established service level goals.
- Perform daily cash, NAV or position reconciliations of assigned portfolio's in accordance with established procedures, practices and policies, meeting or exceeding established service level goals.
- Understand up stream and downstream processes, acting as subject matter expert for assigned processes or business functions. Identify trends, develop viable re-engineering solutions, understand and communicate risk, control gaps, and process improvement ideas.
- Assist in identifying, drafting and testing new procedures, and processes including re-engineering improvements, project or system changes.
- Perform timely and accurate communication including appropriate escalation to ensure downstream users of the accounting system data are aware of any issues, or discrepancies.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to accountants. This includes training accountants on fund NAV calculations and components, security types and attributes, fund income/amortization/expenses, cash related issues and solutions.
- Complete retention of records, work and other information, following established procedures and policies.
