Flooring Installer

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Flooring Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various flooring installation techniques and have the ability to work effectively in diverse environments, including residential and commercial settings. This position requires attention to detail, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites.

Duties

• Install a variety of flooring materials, including tile, hardwood, laminate, and carpet.
• Prepare subfloor surfaces by repairing or restoring as needed to ensure proper installation.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing flooring materials.
• Measure and cut flooring materials accurately to fit specific areas.
• Apply caulking and other finishing touches to ensure a polished appearance.
• Collaborate with contractors and clients to understand project specifications and timelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment on the construction site.
• Follow safety protocols to minimize risks while working with tools and materials.

Experience

• Proven experience in flooring installation or related maintenance person/construction roles.
• Familiarity with tile laying techniques and concrete finishing is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of hand tools used in flooring installation and general construction tasks.
• Previous experience working on construction sites is advantageous.
• A background as a carpenter is a plus but not mandatory.
