Position Description :
To assist individuals with various disabilities in obtaining competitive, unsubsidized employment opportunities in the community, using customized employment strategies and evidence-based practices. Assist consumers to gain vocational training, GED, benefits planning, access to healthcare, etc. when applicable. To assist clients with linkages to community resources and benefits.
Essential Job Functions :
- Assisting consumers in obtaining competitive, unsubsidized employment opportunities in the community using customized employment strategies and evidence-based practices.
- Assist consumers to gain vocational training, GED, benefits planning and access to healthcare, etc. when applicable.
- Assist clients with linkages to community resources and benefits.
- Complete vocational intakes; develop career plans; network with employers; complete job analysis and job carvings; create and complete resumes / cover letters and provide job coaching and retention.
- Assist clients with supported education goals and refer clients to other agencies and negotiate contracts.
