We are the largest and oldest not-for-profit provider of mental / chemical dependency treatment in southwest Washington with over 200 employees and a history dating back to 1942.

Position Description :

To assist individuals with various disabilities in obtaining competitive, unsubsidized employment opportunities in the community, using customized employment strategies and evidence-based practices. Assist consumers to gain vocational training, GED, benefits planning, access to healthcare, etc. when applicable. To assist clients with linkages to community resources and benefits.

Essential Job Functions :

  • Assisting consumers in obtaining competitive, unsubsidized employment opportunities in the community using customized employment strategies and evidence-based practices.
  • Assist consumers to gain vocational training, GED, benefits planning and access to healthcare, etc. when applicable.
  • Assist clients with linkages to community resources and benefits.
  • Complete vocational intakes; develop career plans; network with employers; complete job analysis and job carvings; create and complete resumes / cover letters and provide job coaching and retention.
  • Assist clients with supported education goals and refer clients to other agencies and negotiate contracts.

Non-essential Job Functions :

  • Maintain communication and cooperative working relationships both within the agency and community at large.
  • Attend staff and planning meetings as scheduled.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Education, Licensing and Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in mental Health, Social Work, Psychology, or Human Services (preferred)
  • 2 years of experience in an employment related field or working with individuals with disabilities preferred, but not required. Transferable skills also considered.
  • Salary : $325
