System Engineer Role
Columbia River PUD is seeking a highly skilled System Engineer to play a critical role in the development and implementation of our transmission, substation, and distribution system improvement projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and project management, with experience in developing and maintaining secure SCADA systems, predictive and preventative maintenance programs, and transmission, substation, and distribution system improvement projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining a secure SCADA system to ensure reliable and efficient power distribution.
- Providing project management support and assistance for the operation, maintenance, and construction of transmission, substation, and distribution system improvement projects.
- Developing and maintaining a reliability-based predictive and preventative maintenance program for transmission, substation, and distribution equipment.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful as a System Engineer at Columbia River PUD, you must have:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or five years' experience with demonstrated advanced engineering knowledge in the electric utility field.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, and the ability to operate various engineering software applications, including distribution analysis software, fuse coordination software, and work order system.
- Valid driver's license. Other driving-related requirements may apply depending on the nature and scope of responsibilities associated with driving on behalf of CRPUD.
Salary and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $46.22 - $65.92 per hour, depending on qualifications.
