Responsibilities
- Overseeing all maintenance operations, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and replacements.
- Scheduling: Creating and prioritizing maintenance schedules.
- Supervising and delegating tasks to the maintenance team.
- Leading the installation of new equipment.
- Keeping proper records for inspections and audits.
- Ensuring there is enough inventory for reactive work orders.
- Performing daily and weekly property inspections.
- Providing training and mentorship to the engineering department.
- Responding to guest maintenance requests.
- Building good relationships with internal and external customers.
- Setting short-term and long-term project goals.
- Negotiating with clients and vendors.
- Compiling reports for the board of directors.
- MUST be able to work a flexible shift that includes: Days, Afternoons, Nights and Weekends. Plus work Holidays as well, if needed.
- Prior hotel engineering experience required.
- Hotel engineering supervisory experience.
- Certified Pool Operator License (CPO) preferred.
- Servsafe training for managers.
- Strong understanding of PM Programs.
- Technical understanding of HVAC, MEP, and Carpentry.
- Ability to talk, hear, see, stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, reach and perform repetitive motions.
- Work is performed both inside and outside where there is exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, noise and vibration.
- Able to work in a fast paced, stressful environment.
- Ability to push, pull, lift, carry or otherwise move up to 50 lbs.
