Base Pay Salary
The estimated base salary for this role is $195,000 /year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role. Key Responsibilities
- In-depth quantitative and qualitative evaluation of investment opportunities in the municipal bond market. Strong understanding of tax-exempt financing and flexibility to cover a broad range of investment grade and noninvestment grade securities is critical for success in the role.
- Communicate investment recommendations that summarize the evaluation and research of an investment opportunity. When appropriate, write recommendation documents to present to the team.
- Responsible for surveilling existing investments in the municipal bond market. Update analyses and communicate material changes in outlook with clear and concise reasoning. Closely monitor coverage sectors by engaging with research analysts and Wall Street firms to source opportunities and gather information critical to investment analysis.
- Interact with issuers and dealers, attending calls, meetings, and conferences as needed.
- Contribute to team discussions focused on investment opportunities and performance.
- 5 years of work in municipal bond investment management or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills to cover all aspects of independent research.
- Communication and relationship building skills to appropriately influence and share ideas with others.
- Understanding of the fixed income markets.
- BA/BS degree.
- Experience analyzing healthcare and/or land secured tax-exempt securities.
- Advanced degree or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
