ColumbiaCare Services, Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides behavioral health services to individuals in need. We are seeking a Crisis Intervention Counselor to join our team.
About the Job
As a Crisis Intervention Counselor, you will work with adults who have severe and persistent mental illness, providing support and guidance to help them develop life skills and therapeutic interventions. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the development of life skills and therapeutic interventions
- Performing housekeeping and preparing meals
- Administering medication as prescribed
- Keeping accurate clinical documentation
You will also receive crisis de-escalation training, which requires performing various physical, hands-on maneuvers and techniques. You will also be required to respond to facility requests for coverage within 2 hours of initial call.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A dedication to the well-being of each client and helping them meet their Activities of Daily Living (ADL)
- Experience working with individuals with behavioral health needs in a supervised setting
- Ability to pass a DHS criminal background check and maintain a valid Oregon driver's license
We offer a competitive salary of $19.00 - $22.00 per hour, depending on experience and credentials. An additional $2.50 per hour night shift differential will apply during the work hours of 10:00pm - 6:00am. A 5% language differential is also offered for bilingual or multilingual candidates.
