Job Title: Dietitian

• Full-time.

• Monday-Friday.

• 8am-4:30pm.

About the Role: As a Dietitian at Columbine West, you will:

• Conduct and complete nutritional assessment and analyze nutritional needs of residents.

• Consult with physician and other health care personnel to determine resident’s nutritional needs and diet restrictions.

• Formulate menus for therapeutic diets based on medical and physical condition of resident. Develop modified diets from basic menu.

• Inspect meals served for conformance to prescribed diets and for standards of palatability, taste, temperatures, and appearance.

• Implement intervention for poor intake, weight loss, and skin breakdown.

• Communicate with patients/residents and their families, doctors, and other medical and food service personnel.

• Engage in nutritional research.

• Help develop written dietary policies and procedures.

What We're Looking For:

Experience and Education:

• Bachelor’s degree with completion of accredited dietetic internship and RDN/RD Certification.

• 1 year of food service experience.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and working knowledge of Excel.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of MNT for aging-related conditions such as dysphagia, malnutrition, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and kidney disease is crucial.

• Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments using tools like the Mini Nutritional Assessment (MNA) and track weight trends, lab values, and dietary intake to prevent malnutrition and dehydration.

• Working effectively with healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, speech therapists, and occupational therapists, to create individualized nutrition care plans.

Our Total Rewards package includes a salary range of between $27 - $31/hr. DOE
