About the Role
As a Van Driver at Centre Elderly Transportation, you will:
- Ensure the van is in proper working order, maintains cleanliness, and safely transports passengers, including securing wheelchairs and assisting residents in and out of the vehicle.
- Complete necessary documentation, such as trip records and mileage logs, and communicate any issues with the van or passengers to the Transportation Coordinator.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills, maintain a neat appearance, and follow safe communication practices while driving.
What We're Looking For
Experience
- Must be at least 25 years of age.
- Must have a current driver's license and meet driving record standards.
- Must have one or more of the following:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 years of related experience.
Skills
- Ability to operate the vehicle safely under various road conditions, adhering to traffic laws and safety guidelines.
- Efficiently plan routes and manage schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
- Ability to use GPS and/or maps to navigate unfamiliar routes and find optimal paths.
- Accuracy in maintaining transportation logs, mileage records, and tracking residents.
- Ability to interact professionally with customers during pickups and deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns.
