Position Description
Columbus Academy seeks a long-term substitute Upper School Spanish Teacher, with responsibilities starting in March 2025 and concluding in June 2025.
The person selected for this position will be expected to fulfill the following responsibilities :
- Teach three sections of Spanish 2 and two sections of Honors Spanish 5, which meet regularly but not necessarily every day.
- Assume a portion of the supervisory responsibilities expected of all upper school faculty.
- Collaborate with departmental colleagues on curriculum design and development.
- Provide periodic updates to parents regarding student progress through written reports and conferences.
- Utilize technological resources, including the school’s online learning management system for classes and the integration of iPads and laptops in classroom activities.
- Hold students accountable for the school’s standards of behavior.
- Work with others in the school community to support each student's emotional well-being.
