CATA is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing health care to students, promoting wellness, and ensuring a safe environment for all. This role involves assessing student health needs, administering medications and treatments, and collaborating with parents, teachers, and healthcare providers to support students' health and educational success. This part-time position will convert to a full-time position at the start of the 2025-2026 school year.
Hours are 11:30-4:00, Monday - Friday
The salary indicated is for the full-time position. The part-time salary will reflect scheduled hours worked.
This is a 10-month salaried position. Daily duties will conclude June 6,
RN license is preferred. LPN is acceptable.
Background check is required.
Responsibilities
Conduct health assessments and screenings for students, including vital signs monitoring.
Administer medications and injections as prescribed, ensuring proper documentation.
Respond to medical emergencies and provide basic life support as needed.
Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with school policies.
Educate students and staff on health-related topics, including hygiene practices and disease prevention.
Collaborate with parents and guardians regarding student health issues and care plans.
Ensure compliance with state regulations regarding school health services.
