Columbus Behavioral Center for Children and Adolescents provides mental health services to males and females ages 8 to 18. Located in the greater Columbus, Indiana area, our 56-bed facility provides support to each child and teen that walks through the doors. We work with the resident, their family, and community partners to promote a smooth transition back into the home or, if necessary, an additional appropriate level of care. The trained professionals at our center provide safe and individualized treatment goals for each patient. Our Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) increases the development of behavioral skills that can help patients build relationships, manage emotions, and cope more effectively with various life problems. In addition, our residential treatment program offers a balance of therapy, education, and fun activities in a safe, structured setting. We focus on the needs and safety of our patients with 24-hour licensed staff supervision, which includes registered nurses. The National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention (Action Alliance), a public-private partnership, has partnered with Columbus Behavioral Center for Children and Adolescents, to strengthen the country’s clinical capacity to provide innovative suicide prevention and care. The partnership significantly advances one of the central priorities of the Action Alliance—to transform health systems and reduce suicides—and marks Columbus Behavioral Center for Children and Adolescents’ commitment to be at the leading edge of the transformation.
POSITION SUMMARY: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REP. / COMMUNITY LIAISON
The Community Liaison directly serves as the liaison between the facility, the community, and referring agencies. The Community Liaison is directly responsible for creating demand for the facility’s services through the effective application of ethical marketing principles and sales methods.
In collaboration with the Director of Business Development and Business Development Team, the Community Liaison presents a positive and professional public image of the facility within the community.
Hours are based on departmental and facility needs and may include day, evening and weekend hours, as directed by the Director of Business Development.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field required. Experience may be evaluated on a case-by-case basis in lieu of a degree.
Experience: Prior marketing and/or sales experience within a behavioral healthcare setting preferred. Three years minimum documented experience in referral development, account management, sales growth, and physician relationships preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
Knowledge: Prefer knowledge of the greater Columbia, Indiana northern region area, behavioral health marketplace, insurance plans, target markets and referral sources, psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment and, age-specific programming. Must possess demonstrated business development concepts, sales abilities, competency in computer usage, and excellent written and oral communication skills; knowledge of and skills in application of marketing and sales principles; creativity and flexibility; skills in data collection analysis and interpretation; record of adherence to deadlines; customer service skills; willingness to travel, including overnight travel as required.
