Position Title: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
Status: Full or Part Time, according to scheduling preferences
Place: In person either our Dublin or Westerville office, hybrid or fully remote work from home
Compensation Range: depends upon schedule, approximately $160-200K for full time
Position Summary:
The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMNNP) will provide outpatient psychiatric evaluation and medication management services at Columbus Behavioral Health, a large group practice which launched in 2014. Columbus Behavioral Health is an association of independently licensed mental health providers affiliated with the Ohio Health Clinically Integrated Network. As such, this provider will work primarily independently, while participating on a bi-weekly consultation team and consulting with other providers in the practice as well as the other PMHNP to provide psychiatric services to adult and youth patients with behavioral health issues. This position will be supervised externally by a psychiatrist with whom there is a Collaborative Practice Agreement established upon hire. Liability insurance and collaborating physician costs must be paid for by the provider.
Minimum Required Education:
- Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Nursing with focus on Psychiatric nursing
- Graduation from a state-certified advance practice program specializing in psychiatry/mental health
Minimum Required Experience:
- At least 1-2 years providing direct client care to persons receiving treatment for psychiatric disorders
- Ability to work with both adult and youth/child populations
Preferred Experience:
- 3 years of experience as a psychiatric provider
- Experience in telemedicine
Licenses/Certifications:
- An unrestricted license to practice as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) in the state of Ohio
- Must have a valid DEA number and unrestricted DEA license in Ohio
- A state-issued Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) in Ohio
- No suspension/exclusion/debarment from participation in federal health care programs (e.g. Medicare)
- Maintain credentials and licensure with all major insurance companies and licensing boards with the assistance of CBH credentialing staff.
Other Skills Required:
- Must return admin and patient calls/emails promptly (within 24 hours of receipt or sooner if clinically necessary), even on days when you are not seeing CBH patients
- Experience in delivering high-quality, client-centered care
- Able to document and navigate EHR independently
- Ability to maintain strict client confidentiality
- Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work effectively on multidisciplinary team
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to work productively and make independent decisions.
