What are the responsibilities and job description for the Packaging Operator position at Columbus Brewing Company?
The Location
CBC Brewery – Founded in 1988, Columbus Brewing Company is one of the longest-running breweries in Ohio and the oldest brewery in Central Ohio. Our brewery is situated just outside of downtown at 2555 Harrison Road and it’s where we create our innovative and high-quality beers.
The Work
As a Packaging Operator at our Brewery, you will be responsible for all aspects of beer packaging including kegging, bottling, and canning our finished products. This day shift position works 10-hour days Monday – Thursday (the best schedule!)
THe PAY
This position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $16 to $20 per hour, depending on previous experience. New Packagers have the opportunity to earn up to a $1 per hour increase upon successful completion of their training.
The Requirements
- Excellent time management and record keeping skills
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to follow company safety standards
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple projects
- Self-motivated; ability to work unsupervised
- Willingness to work in a non-temperature-controlled warehouse (yep, it’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter)
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
