What are the responsibilities and job description for the Computer Specialist (9th-12th Grade) Columbus Africentric position at Columbus City Schools?
Candidate will be teaching introductory computer science courses
which will expose students to computer science as a means of computationally
analyzing and developing solutions to authentic problems through mobile app
development, and will convey the positive impact of the application of computer
science to other disciplines and to society. Additional responsibilities are to
educate and equip students to use the computer as a productivity tool as well
as a tool for learning, research, networking, collaboration,
telecommunications, and problem solving. Students will be familiar with a
computer keyboard and have basic keyboarding skills. Students will leave Middle
School with skills necessary for the required work in high school and
ultimately the real world.
