This position is responsible for reporting staff payroll; supervising employees; makes hiring recommendations; conducts performance appraisals; arranges employees work schedules. Responsible for all programming and marketing of the facility.Reports Staff Payroll.Supervises employees and create work schedules and fill out weekly reports.Makes hiring recommendations.Responsible for planning, organization and evaluation of daily programs.Responsible for all marketing aspects of the aquatic center.Performs lifeguard and first aid skills in accordance with appropriate certifications.Communicates with patrons concerning the aquatic center.Assists in teaching swim lessons.Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge of programming for the aquatic center.Knowledge of marketing skills necessary to promote the facility.Knowledge of department policies and procedures.Knowledge of safety procedures and accident prevention.Skill in organizing and prioritizing work orders.Skill in management and supervision.Skill in operating standard office equipment including work related computer applications.Skill in using testing instruments.Skill in interpersonal relations.Skill in problem solving and decision making.Skill in oral and written communication.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
The work is typically performed while intermittently sitting, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, walking or climbing a ladders. The employee frequently lifts light and occasionally heavy objects up to twenty-five pounds; uses tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity; must be able to distinguish between shades of color and utilize sense of smell. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: The work is typically performed in an office, library, computer room Aquatic Center or outdoors, occasionally in cold or inclement weather. The employee may be exposed to loud noise, dust, machinery with moving parts, and irritating chemicals. The work may require the use of protective devices such as masks, goggles, or gloves.
