This position maintains the city’s personal computers and other computer equipment.
- Responds to personal computer and other computer equipment problems; assists users in resolution of problems.
- Troubleshoots problems with hardware and software.
- Installs new equipment.
- Installs computer equipment for new users in assigned workstations.
- Trains users on Lotus Notes programs.
- Maintains and expands job knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Knowledge of computer hardware and its components.
- Knowledge of standard repair and replacement of parts for personal computers.
- Knowledge of Cat5 cable kits.
- Knowledge of software packages, such as Microsoft Office Suite, Lotus Notes, and the IBM Personal Communication Mainframe.
