This position is responsible for supervising inmates in the maintenance of city parking structures and surrounding areas.
- Manages and supervises the work of the inmates and maintains the safety of inmates around the public.
- Responsible for the overall cleanliness and aesthetics of all METRA facilities, garages, METRA’s campus and the routes.
- Schedules the cleaning of city public parking garages and city parking lot.
- Maintains all METRA lawn tools; equipment; and inventories equipment.
- Handles the logistics for meetings; set up and take down tents; moves furniture and audio equipment as needed.
- Maintains METRA facilities and grounds; bus routes; bus stops and shelters as needed.
- Collects trash daily from public parking garages, parking lots and park-n-ride locations.
- Responsible for checking and cleaning shelters for trash weekly.
- Installs benches, poles and signs at bus stops as needed; reconditions benches & sign poles as needed.
- Evaluates designated inmates in the OJT Program.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
