We are seeking a results-driven Territory Sales Manager to join our team in Columbus, OH. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a mechanical aptitude, and a passion for industrial sales. Previous experience with gaskets, packing, or similar industrial sealant materials is highly desirable. This position will report directly to the Chief Sales Officer.
Responsibilities:
- Drive revenue growth by securing quotes and orders across chemical, pump OEMs, metal mills, mining, oil & gas, and electrical suppliers, with proactive follow-ups via email, phone, and in-person visits.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, targeting prospective accounts and expanding relationships within existing accounts.
- Develop and close 5 new accounts per quarter, expanding the company’s footprint in key markets.
- Generate and track 10-20 qualified leads per quarter to maintain a strong sales pipeline.
- Execute key company initiatives to drive market expansion and increase sales.
- Provide technical expertise by effectively explaining and demonstrating product capabilities.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key customer and vendor contacts, including purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and senior management.
- Leverage Salesforce CRM to track customer interactions, manage leads and opportunities, and ensure accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Engage with inbound and outbound marketing initiatives, including email campaigns and social media outreach.
- Travel a minimum of 25% to meet with customers and support business development efforts.
Requirements:
- Experience: 3-5 years of successful industrial sales experience, selling directly to Chemical, Gas, Industrial, OEM, or Manufacturing markets.
- Sales & Relationship Management: Proven ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships, with an established customer following preferred.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with Engineered Materials, Gaskets, Die Cutting, Converting, or Fabricated Products from suppliers such as 3M, Flexitallic, Rogers, and other sealant manufacturers.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Experience in consultative selling and solution-based problem-solving environments.
- Communication & Presentation: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information in a professional manner.
- Technology Proficiency: Proficient in Salesforce CRM and Microsoft 365 suite.
- Self-Motivation & Teamwork: Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
