What are the responsibilities and job description for the Busser position at Columbus Hospitality?
Job Summary :
Bussers are responsible for providing a clean and pleasant dining experience by clearing, sanitizing, and resetting tables, and ensuring the dining room is well-stocked and tidy. The busser, in the absence of a bar back will support the bar staff to ensure the bar is stocked with ice, bus tubs are emptied, dining spaces are cleared and clean.
Essential Functions :
- Clear tables of dishware and napkins after meals, and return them to the kitchen
- Prepare coffee, tea, and ice water for customers
- Keep floors and chairs near dining tables clean by sweeping and mopping
- Maintain appropriate stock levels of glassware, silverware, and dishware
- Clean, sanitize, and reset tables after meals
- Refill salt, pepper, and other condiments at tables
- Assist with food delivery in the absence of the food runner
- Assist with bar bussing in the absence of a bar back
- Assist with steps of service as requested by servers (bread, silverware, special guest request)
- Keep designated service stations clean and well stocked
