Overview:
Columbus Preparatory Academy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a valid Ohio teaching license, a commitment to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment, and the ability to inspire and support young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in accordance with Ohio Learning Standards.
- Develop and implement classroom management strategies to foster a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
- Utilize Ohio’s Best Practices in Teaching, including differentiated instruction, formative assessments, and evidence-based instructional strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school staff to support student success.
- Incorporate technology effectively to enhance student learning and engagement.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and stay current with educational trends and requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
- Comply with all school policies, state regulations, and licensing requirements.
Requirements:
- Valid Ohio teaching license for elementary education.
- Successful completion of a BCI/FBI background check.
- Strong understanding of Ohio’s Learning Standards and Ohio Teacher Best Practices, including:
- Differentiated instruction to meet diverse student needs.
- Incorporating formative and summative assessments to guide instruction.
- Data-driven decision-making for instructional planning.
- Culturally responsive teaching practices.
- Collaborative, student-centered learning approaches.
- Effective use of technology in the classroom.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
