Columbus Property Management, a member of Mission First Housing Group is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Manager who will ensure that all properties under management meet the requirements of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), HUD Affordable Housing, Housing Choice Voucher Programs, HOME, Federal Home Loan Bank’s Affordable Housing Program (AHP), and other applicable regulations. This position involves regulatory tracking, staff support, training, and documentation updates to maintain compliance standards
Regulatory Compliance Manager Duties and Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance
- Stay current with LIHTC, HUD Affordable Housing, Housing Choice Voucher Programs, HOME, AHP, and other regulatory requirements.
- Track inspection results, noncompliance findings, and IRS Form 8823 filings.
- Ensure timely resolution of noncompliance findings by collaborating with the property management team.
- Submit required responses and documentation to regulatory agencies.
Staff Support and Training
- Provide guidance and support to property management staff on compliance-related issues.
- Develop and deliver training programs on compliance requirements and best practices.
Documentation and Plans
- Update and maintain Tenant Selection Plans, Management Plans, and Management Agreements.
- Oversee staff responsible for completing Affordable Fair Housing Marketing Plans.
- Oversee reasonable accommodation process.
Monitoring and Reporting
- Maintain organized records of compliance activities and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Implement systems for tracking and monitoring regulatory deadlines and requirements.
Participates in additional and/or special projects as required from time to time by management.
Regulatory Compliance Manager Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (Business Administration, Public Administration, Urban Planning, or Real Estate)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in affordable housing compliance, with a strong understanding of LIHTC, HUD, and other applicable regulations.
- Supervisory or management experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in housing compliance software (e.g., Yardi or similar platforms). Strong knowledge of affordable housing regulations, including Fair Housing laws.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to collaborate across departments and manage multiple priorities.
- Must be able to multi-task in an environment with rapidly changing priorities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $77,800.00 - $101,200.00 per year
