What you need to know about this position:
- The Food and Nutritional Care department is essential in the support of patient, employee and community health.
- Nutrition Care is delivered in a variety of settings, including inpatient units, inpatient classes, outpatient clinics and classes, scheduled individual outpatient visits, community presentations and programs.
- Dynamic team that serves approximately 450,000 meals each year.
- The Chief Clinical Dietitian serves as a senior representative in the patient care nutritional care activities.
- This position will provide guidance and be an integral resource to the food service staff and food delivery systems of the department.
- This position will report directly to the Manager of Food and Nutrition Services. Primary responsibilities include assigning work to and supervising clinical dietitians; developing standards and monitoring of clinical dietetic performance, reviewing and updating policies and procedures; developing and monitoring performance improvement plans; implementing and maintaining cost-control procedures; recruiting, hiring, and orienting staff ; interacting with hospital management and professional staff ; and maintaining professional competency and skills required for professional practice.
- The "Reserve" designation as part of this job title identifies that the employees who are assigned this position are part of CRH Staffing Reserves. Staffing Reserve employees perform the duties of the job description for short-term, fixed-duration time periods, in explicitly assigned departments.
- The base hourly rate for this position is $32.28. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
- This full-time position will require you to work 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday.
What is required for this position:
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree from an Accredited University required.
- Completion of an internship or coordinated program approved through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics required. Five years of experience in a healthcare environment and one year of experience in a leadership role required.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
- Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required
- Certified Dietitian (C.D>) or Licensed Dietitian in the State of Indiana required within 6 months of hire.
