What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Billing Account Analyst position at Columbus Regional Health?
What you need to know about this position:
- This position provides billing, collection, insurance follow-up, and account analysis for the purpose of collecting and/or reconciling patient outstanding hospital balances.
- Our Medical Billing Account Analysts are primarily responsible for managing assigned accounts, including claim edits, unpaid claims, and appealing and/or researching denials.
- The goal is to ensure timely filing and collection while maintaining accurate payments from insurance companies and government agencies.
- The base hourly rate for this position is $17.27. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
- This position will require you to work 8:00AM – 5:00PM; Monday through Friday, 100% remotely.
What is required for this position:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Six months to 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
