Major Responsibilities:
- Editorial Voice & Copywriting: Establish and maintain a clear, engaging, and inspiring voice for the school across all written materials.
- Press Releases & Articles: Draft press releases, write blog articles, and serve as writer and editor-in-chief for the school's biannual magazine.
- Social Media & Digital Content: Develop written content for social media posts and other digital platforms that align with the school's tone and messaging.
- Weekly Newsletter: Manage, write, and edit content for the school's weekly newsletter, ensuring it remains informative and engaging.
- Speechwriting & Script Development: Write speeches and develop scripts for school programs, ensuring messaging aligns with the school’s values and goals.
- Flexibility & Adaptability: Handle a fast-paced, evolving workload with shifting priorities, often managing last-minute projects with enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or a related field.
- Strong writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail. AP style preferred, but not required.
- A desire to learn, take initiative, and contribute as part of a dynamic team.
- Ability to adjust to last-minute projects and shifting deadlines with enthusiasm.
- Experience with content creation, social media management, and press release writing preferred
- Proficiency in Google Suite; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and other design tools (Canva, Adobe Express, etc.) is a plus.
- Experience with graphic design a plus.
- Portfolio of work samples made available upon request.
