Columbus School for Girls seeks to hire a full-time Maintenance Technician. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, this person is responsible for performing essential maintenance and operations tasks throughout the facility to ensure that all students, faculty, staff and community members are provided a safe, operational, attractive, clean, and healthy environment for learning.

Major Functions and Responsibilities:
- Provide a campus that is clean, operational, safe and attractive for visitors, students, faculty and staff.
- Responsible for completing work orders as assigned by the manager.
- Complete daily, weekly and monthly PM lists on facility and equipment.
- Performs indoor and outdoor routine maintenance and projects such as cleaning halls and bathrooms, sweeping leaves, removing snow and ice from school walkways, emptying trash and straightening furniture.
- Responsible for proper use of school owned tools and equipment in a manner conducive to safe practices.
- Work with facility vendors.
- Perform with a security mindset, ensuring that exterior doors are properly locked and aiding with campus security when needed.
- Perform light construction-type repairs or identify more involved repairs for outside subcontractor attention.
- Fulfill event, athletic and meeting facility requests including common areas, fields and rooms, both set-up and teardown. This includes moving tables, chairs, easels, event and athletic equipment.
- Perform tasks in a timely manner and to a high standard of detail while having an awareness of the school daily schedule and the juggle of shared space.
- Perform light custodial tasks.
- Assigned to 24 hours on call duty rotation for a one-week duration every 3-4 weeks.
- Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or Operations and Facilities Director.

Qualifications and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Prior construction or facility (painting, drywall, plumbing, carpentry) and landscaping experience (weeding, mowing, snow removal and planting) preferred.
- Experience in school maintenance preferred
- Computer skills including familiarity with Google Suite.
- Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
