Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Kennel Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, possess strong animal care skills, good time management skills, attention to cleanliness and detail inside as well as outside of the clinic, organizational skills, professionalism, and maturity.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care for animals in the kennel facility
- Feed, bathe, and walk animals
- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and animal living areas
- Monitor the health and well-being of animals
- Handle heavy lifting tasks related to animal care
- Interact with pet owners and provide excellent customer service
- Laundry and upkeep of cleanliness within the clinic
- Assist with animal restraint when necessary
Qualifications:
- Experience in animal handling and care
- Familiarity with veterinary practices or procedures preferred
- Ability to handle and restrain various types of animals safely
- Comfortable with heavy lifting as required in the role
- Strong customer service skills when interacting with pet owners
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
