Responsibilities
- Assess patients and plan care within set time-frames, documenting findings according to policies.
- Oversee and supervise shifts, demonstrating leadership through tasks such as delegating groups, close observation, meal supervision, etc.
- Ensure nursing policies and procedures are followed, delivering exemplary patient care consistently.
- Administer medications according to hospital policy.
- Collaborate with external review organizations or comparable entities.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing or relevant state licensure.
- Previous experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility, particularly with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, and geriatric patients.
- Experience in patient assessments, family motivations, treatment planning, and communication.
- Current unencumbered license to practice by the State Board of Nursing.
- CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment.
