Job Summary
The Associate Registrar is responsible for assisting the University Registrar with maintaining the integrity, accuracy and security of student academic records. Ensures the administration of quality customer-oriented services. Participates in the planning, development, maintenance, and enhancements of policies, processes and workflows. Serves as a key resource to faculty and administrative officers regarding student information and policies. The Associate Registrar represents and leads office in absence of University Registrar.
Responsibilities
Significant Duties & Responsibilities include: Operation Administration - Responsible for the planning, organizing, and evaluating the daily operations of the Office of the Registrar. Ensures compliance with University, state, federal and accrediting bodies policies. Collaborate with others to research, resolve and recommend action for problems and questions that arise concerning student records. Helps interpret and enforce academic policies and regulations of the University.; System Administration and Technical Lead - Serves as lead for Ellucian Banner software to include setup for core business functions such as course maintenance, class scheduling, registration, grades, records, reporting, and data management. Serves as lead for workflow implementations and maintenance. Partners with University Information Technology Services to maintain the integrity of student records databases and oversee the generation of critical reports. Evaluates and changes practices and processes for efficiency and to benefit students.; Supervision/Leadership - Provides leadership to the Office of the Registrar and assists with hiring, training, mentoring, and evaluating. Fosters professional growth and ensures exceptional service delivery. Serves on University or system wide committees and workgroups as appropriate. Represents and leads office in absence of University Registrar.; Other - Provides professional and timely responses to students, faculty and staff inquiries. Works as part of the Office of the Registrar team and serves as support for events and activities such as orientation, commencement, Discovery Days, and others as required. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Required Qualifications include: Master's degree from an accredited college or university.; Excellent customer service skills.; Excellent oral and written communication skills.; Strong motivation and high standard for excellence.; Comprehensive knowledge of student enrollment and Registrar policies, best practices, and strategies.; Minimum five years' experience in an Office of the Registrar or Records.; Extensive working knowledge of Ellucian Banner software.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications include: Previous supervisory experience preferred.; Previous experience with strategic planning preferred.; Working knowledge of Banner Degree Works, Kuali Build and CourseLeaf software preferred.
Proposed Salary
The proposed annualized salary range for this position is $51,503 - $62,314 and includes full benefits.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities include: Knowledge of rules, regulations, and laws pertaining to student records - FERPA.; Knowledge of University System of Georgia policies and procedures.; Ability to be proactive and flexible.; Ability to supervise staff including developing work plans and assignments, instructing staff on procedures and policies, monitoring staff performance, and conducting annual performance appraisals based on the staff member's goals for the evaluation period.; Ability to communicate effectively with other staff, faculty, students, parents, and students.; Ability to perform detailed and complex work tasks accurately and efficiently.; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with administrators, faculty and others.; Ability to speak in public.; Ability to de-escalate situations.; Ability to use discretion with confidential information.; Autonomy and independent judgement.; Ability to plan, develop, and coordinate multiple projects.; Ability to analyze data and information in making decisions and solving problems.; Commitment to collaborative strategic planning aligned with institutional goals.

Conditions of Employment
