What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Childhood Care and Education Adjunct position at Columbus Technical College?
Columbus Technical College is looking to fill a part-time Adjunct Instructor position in the Early Childhood Care & Education Division.Under general supervision, conducts multiple site visits to the business industry to ensure students are following internship/practicum requirements for the Early Childhood Education Program. Serves as a liaison between the program director, instructors, and students to assist with the facilitation of quality instruction. Conducts comprehensive clerical research using a variety of resources to generate reports and respond to requests. Assists in the preparation of special reports and performs special projects for management. Communicates accurate information to representatives in a courteous and professional manner. This position is part-time/exempt.

Please note the following information regarding this position:
- May be required to teach high school students
- May require teaching on or off campus throughout our service delivery area (Muscogee County, Stewart County, Quitman County, Chattahoochee County, Harris County, and Talbot County)
- May require travel
- Coordinates internship requirements for students with help from the program director
- Visits multiple internship sites to ensure compliance and student success
- Facilitates securing uniforms for students
- Meets with students to discuss progress/needs for internship
- Collaborates with program director weekly on student progress
- Assists instructor in maintaining an effective learning environment
- Completes documentation of student progress
- Perform various types of clerical tasks to assist instructor
- Prepare materials, exhibits, equipment and demonstrations as needed
- A master’s degree from an accredited institution in the teaching discipline (i.e. Early Childhood Care & Education, Elementary Education, Education focused, etc.) *and* One (1) to Three (3) years of experience in the field of education
- A master’s degree from an accredited institution with a concentration in the teaching discipline (minimum 18 graduate semester hours or 27 graduate quarter hours in Early Childhood or the field of education *and* Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in the field of education
- A doctorate or PhD in Education
