- Greet and provide all guests with prompt, friendly service.
- Execute accurate sales transactions for record-keeping purposes.
- Encourage guests to round up their sale to support conservation efforts.
- Assist with food preparation for daily guests, groups, and overnight visitors.
- Learn and follow ServSafe guidelines to ensure a safe and sanitary food environment.
- Maintain work areas, including restocking, inventory management, and cleaning.
- Assist in maintaining the dining room and deck spaces.
- Adhere to Responsible Alcohol Policy guidelines.
- Provide support to other Visitor Operations and Park Operations roles as needed.
- Learn about The Wilds and its species to accurately answer guest questions.
- Maintain open communication with the Area Lead, Kitchen Coordinator, and Food & Beverage Manager.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Strive to further the mission of The Wilds and support The Zoo, Zoombezi Bay, and Safari Golf Club.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Customer service and sales experience preferred.
- Positive, professional attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
- Good math, communication, and keyboarding skills.
- Ability to adapt easily to a fast-paced work environment.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate a two-way radio.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Positive attitude with a commitment to excellent service and upholding guest service standards.
- Ability to plan and organize work efficiently.
- Possession of a valid state-issued driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.
- Subject to Drug-Free Workplace Policy, Criminal Background Check, and BMV Check.
- This position is not eligible for overtime pay.
