The Campground Coordinator oversees daily operations of the Hellbender RV campground, including maintenance of grounds, wash areas, camp store, parking lot/booth, and sports courts.
Responsibilities
Operations Management:
- Oversee all campground functions, including the camp store, wash areas, sport courts, and parking.
- Manage inventory levels for the camp store and amenities, ensuring efficient stock rotation and timely replenishment to meet guest needs.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and family-friendly environment with fully operational amenities.
- Manage repairs, maintenance, and capital improvement projects, quickly resolving facility issues.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training team members.
Guest Experience and Service:
- Maximize camper registration, store sales, and ancillary revenue through promotion and service offerings.
- Champion the "Make it G.R.E.A.T." program, ensuring all staff deliver exceptional guest service.
- Monitor and implement safety plans and emergency response protocols.
- Oversee guest service and inventory management systems, training team members as needed.
Reporting and Collaboration:
- Review daily, weekly, and monthly reports to track performance and expenses.
- Communicate regularly with the Director of Operations and maintain cooperative relationships with all associates.
- Develop and manage training programs and staff incentive plans, ensuring clear communication with Human Resources.
- Support long-term planning for Guest Services policies and practices, while implementing sustainable practices.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3-5 years of experience in a related customer service management role required.
- Outdoor/camping experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to positively relate to and resolve guest-related issues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven administrative and organizational skills.
- Independent decision-making and problem-solving abilities within job parameters.
- Ability to plan and organize work efficiently without direct supervision.
- Ability to develop and maintain cooperative relationships with team members.
Certifications and Other Requirements:
- CPR/first aid training within 6 months of hire, with successful completion of annual training thereafter.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule from mid-April to early November, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to cover overnight shifts during staffing emergencies.
- Valid motor vehicle operator’s license and good driving record required.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and an annual criminal history background check.
- Adherence to standard operating procedures, including safety protocols.
