POSITION SUMMARY:
Receives and inspects merchandise from vendors and ensures distribution to appropriate departments; stores merchandise until receipt by department; maintains records of receiving documents and requests for merchandise from departments.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Receives merchandise from vendors and inspects merchandise for damage, quality standards, accuracy of order, sufficient items, etc.
Dates all incoming orders.
Notifies the department of receipt of merchandise.
Receives and posts food and beverage invoices.
Assures all forms from vendors are complete.
Maintains merchandise in a safe environment and protects it from elements in a secured storage area until picked up by the appropriate department.
Maintains records of Food and Beverage receipts and other relevant forms.
Provides accurate storage and log of all items in the warehouse.
Assures correct use of all safety equipment and procedures in the warehouse.
Responsible for knowledge of inventory and recommends acquisitions at required levels.
Responds in a professional manner in dealing with vendors, delivery persons, and department supervisory staff.
Data entry of purchase order receipts.
Issue company uniforms.
Follows all prescribed methods of inventory controls.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Adheres to personnel and department policies and procedures at all times.
Abides by Casinos confidentiality policies.
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE:
Supply merchandise to appropriate departments on a timely basis.
Overall accuracy of merchandise receipt.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to perform assigned duties in highly interruptive conditions.
Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift objects of at least 50 lbs. on a regular basis.

Must exhibit good organizational and record-keeping skills.
Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
Must be detail-oriented.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED with good organizational skills and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Six months to one year inventory experience preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES
Must maintain a valid California Drivers license.
Food Handlers certification preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS:
Exposure to a smoke-filled and noisy environment frequently. May work weekends, shifts, and holidays. Will work in a well-lit area frequently and in a temperature-controlled environment occasionally.
