Position Summary:
The Restaurant Server is responsible for coordinating the entire server station and effectively communicating with both front and back-of-house staff to provide a dining experience that exceeds guest expectations. This position promotes positive customer relations while delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced, dynamic casino environment.
Essential Functions:
- Obtain an assigned station from the Manager at the start of each work shift.
- Greet guests, present menus, and make suggestions regarding food, beverages, specials, and services, ensuring all guest questions are answered.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, special requests, and dietary options.
- Ensure the prompt and accurate service of food and beverages.
- Confirm guest orders are prepared and served properly and in a timely manner.
- Perform side work before, during, and at the end of each shift to ensure workstations are stocked and clean.
- Maintain cleanliness of the workstation, bussing duties as necessary, and ensure the dining area remains organized and presentable.
- Demonstrate the ability to handle peak period demands and efficiently manage multiple tables.
- Communicate effectively with the wait staff, Manager-On-Duty, and other team members to ensure service efficiency.
- Work closely with cooks, bartenders, and serving staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Immediately clean up spills or address hazards, ensuring a safe environment for guests and staff.
- Report any accidents or unsafe conditions to the Manager-On-Duty and the Security Department.
- Follow all personnel, safety, and department policies and procedures.
- Perform other general duties as directed by the Front of the House Supervisor.

- High school diploma or GED is required.

- CA Food Handlers Certificate (to be obtained within 60 days of employment).
- Alcohol Awareness Certificate (to be obtained within 60 days of employment).

- Familiarity with POS systems is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of math and English.
Work Environment and Conditions:
- This position is primarily performed in a well-lit, ventilated, and temperature-controlled environment.
- The casino environment may occasionally be smoky and noisy.
- Must be available to work weekends, shifts, and holidays based on business needs.
