Mktg Promotions Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for creating and maintaining an exciting, engaging slot floor through promotions, tournaments and events. Colusa Casino will exemplify winning through an engaging promotions team, supporting an atmosphere where everyone is a winner. Having fun and celebrating our guests wins and opportunities to win is at the forefront of this position. This position requires charisma, enthusiasm and positive energy. Additional duties to include other implementation projects assigned through the Marketing Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Assist in creating and developing promotions, events and activities with the Marketing Manager.

Prepare graphics requests to supplement promotions, events and activities.

Maintain competition/event calendars and communicate with the Marketing team.

Ordering supplies needed to implement/execute promotions, events and activities.

Organizing and keeping storage areas clean and organized.

Tracking promotional, event and activity participation information through Excel and make available to Marketing/Audit team if necessary.

Serve as a liaison to all departments regarding promotions, events and activities

Execute drawings/tournaments on the floor, provide an entertaining environment for guests to participate in and enjoy.

Prepare for events and post event process.

Work at events as needed.

Perform other related duties incidental to the work described.

EDUCATION:

High School Graduate or GED

AA degree in business or marketing is desirable

College Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or similar preferred.

TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Minimum two (2) years related experience.

SKILLS AND ABILIITES:

Microsoft Word and Excel

IGT Advantage/Acres experience or similar preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS:

Works in a well-light, ventilated and temperature controlled environment. Frequent exposure to a smoke filled and noisy environment. Must be willing to work evening shifts, weekends and holidays.
